    Cable direct to switched fuse box ??

    Hi I'm thinking of putting aa hole in the chimney breast to put an extention through. So I can attach TV through it. Can I just take the plug off the extention and attach the cable direct to the fused box .. instead of taking the plug and plugging into the socket on the other wall.
