Hi, I will try take some better pics when I get home... The yellow wire is connected to the back of the thermostat control knob and it almost looks like an earth connection as it is connected to something that looks like a small earthing plate. Its not a very long wire…maybe around 6 inches...

Thanks for your reply. The pipe leaks all day..even when the boiler is not in operation. But I will make sure the pressure does not go above 2 bar when in use. Maybe I'll try to release some pressure/water a few times to see if it clears the valve before I replace it. Cheers
