    Job example. Replace existing combi boiler, connect new flex to existing fused spur or socket. No alteration to existing circuit. Is a minor works cert and part p reg required?

    Removing cured Mitrebond?

    Just had a new kitchen installed and on the cornice in a couple of places exess mitrebond has squeezed from the joint. Is there any way of safely removing it without damaging the gloss surface underneath?

    If an old type u6 meter is installed with two anacondas and no bracket then gas fraud is poss without even removing the meter. But that aint a gas safety issue.

    You have to remove the green plug with the two leads fitted from the condense trap. Snip off the two spades from the inside of the plug so there flush, then fit the elbow pointing upwards in the place of the plug then refit the plug on the top of the elbow.

    Sorry Josh. Thought you were the end user!. Yeah the mods consists of sniping the probes off flush and fitting a small marley type overflow elbow.

    Its a fault with the condense trap. Get it fixed free under warranty. Remove the front panel and and the back left you will see two wires entering the condense trap via a blue plug. Remove the white HT lead and tape it up. The boiler will work fine. The problem is the probes get wet and the...

    Scratched a gas pipe with a saw

    Left my 16 yr old apprentice on the job today with an old chainsaw to cut the boards. Got back to the job after being in the pub for 5 hours and he'd put a small scratch in the 1.5mm lighting cable. What should i do? I was thinking maybe the chainsaw need sharpening.

    Sorry but had to reply!! If you are 1- 2mm into the surface then your into the pipe as the wall thickness is 0.9mm (22mm tube or 0.7mm 15mm tube). So if your only 0.35mm in ya half way through! turn the gas off and get it sorted.

    Heatline Sargon Noise!!!!

    Ther are pots for "ignition capacity" (which i had to adjust to prevent ignition noise) , central heating capacity along with hot water. The inlet pressure was 19mb and CO to CO2 ratio 0.000. Sorry if a few mistakes as its late friday and the beers been flowing.

    Checed all the settings and all good apart from the ignition fan speed. Had to increase it to stop the low ignition drone noise.
