Hi, little help needed.
I need to supply a site caravan with power. I have run a 100mm duct 42 metres out to the caravan, I intend to drag in 10mm swa 3 wire cable, I know I will neeed cable glands and duct seals but what else would you sugest.
The caravan has an 8kw shower and a few kitchen items microwave (800watt) kettle toaster etc. What rcd's should I look to be useing. I reckon the voltage drop would be about 3.8 volts.

So if we say
shower 8kW
toaster 0.85kW
kettle 3kW
microwave 0.85kw
that's 12.7kW.
I calculate you will need 16mm SWA, this will allow you to run a max output load to about 15.3kW.
This will have a curent load of 66.5A
You will need an RCD rated at 30mA
If this is to be used as a main isolator see the above current load as a guide to the current rating of the RCD.

Thanks guys, I don't think he's going to have shower whilst using the microwave toaster and kettle etc all at the same time, but fair comment.
Thanks for you help much appreciated.
