I don't know.

I know I could, provided both ends of the cable were accessible, and I know that a lot of other people could.

But I don't see how anybody can tell whether you can.

He probably ment, 'is it possible', like most people in this forum, English be it spelling or grammar leaves a lot to interpretation.

I know - I shouldn't have been so flippant, but there was an element of truth.

1976 - doing an IR test is easy - you just disconnect the cable from the load and the FCU, and do it. If you can't disconnect the load for any reason you'll have to join L & N at the FCU end and test between those and earth.

But as pdcelec says - the fact that you're asking such basic stuff does raise the question about how much you know.

What's the background to all this? Are you asking because you want to do it, or to find out if it's possible for someone else to do it?
