Hi,

I am currently fitting out my new bathroom and need some advice on the wiring I am doing. I am fitting 3 ELV spots fed from a transformer in the loft and also a fan/light combo. Both state that they require a 3a fcu. Can i just use one 3a fcu for both (total draw not likely to exed 1a for both)? Any maintenance on either spots transformer or light/fan will be done in the loft and therefore cant see why anyone would want to isolate separately.
Also i am feeding both off the main lighting ring (have taken exisiting mains light out) i.e lighting ring to switch, swtich to junction box, junction box feeds both spots and ligh/fan. Is this ok because of the low current draw?

thanks

Stu

1. Does the fan/light have a timer for the fan? What terminals does it have?

2. You DONT have a lighting "ring" Trust me on this one. Its a radial.

3. I cant see a problem having one FCU. Though you may need to position it in the circuit before the main switch, depending on the answer to 1.

yeah sorry, meant radial circuit.
Fan is not a timer one, just phase and neutral. was going to position fcu after light switch but before lights/fan.
