Hi all,
My (6-months pregnant) beloved wanted the new T&G pine floorboards painted with a limewash effect. I did this using a 50/50 matt emulsion/ water mix, applied lightly with a brush and slightly wiped off. Now she doesn't like it and wants the floor painted solid white. Luckily it hadn't been varnished yet.
Do I need to try to remove the emulsion by scrubbing or sanding, or can I just give it a coat of primer/ undercoat over the top before a couple of coats of floor paint? Also, do I need to use a dedicated knotting solution or will primer/undercoat take care of that?
Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers,
Nick.
