I drained my system down today and refilled with Fernox Heavy Duty Restorer because of cold spots in the bottom of all rads.
I've bled all the rads and ran the system for an hour or so with the heating off.
However, when I ran the heating up the boiler dropped back to pilot only and wouldn't relight, hence my earlier post before this edit (if anyone saw it).
It must have been a safety cut out because the boiler has fired again now but I can hear some gurgling in the loft pipes and wonder if this is the problem.
Do I need to bleed the pump too, if so I can't see a bleed nipple on it (Grundfos UPS 15 50).
Have turned the aging boiler (1988 Ideal W on fully pumped vented system) off until I sort this problem out.
