bosch classic xx 1200 washing machine

hi.......... i've read through a few topics on bosch washers and my problem seems to be the same as a few of the topics, the washer is filling and emptying ok but will not spin or go through the wash cycle. i'm going to check the motor brushes and if it's not them i'm thinking it could be the programmer. if so then i'll get rid and by a new washer because the cost of a new programmer and installation i reckon will be as dear as a new washer... any thoughts anybody ?

Seems logical...but also put a possible broken drive belt or loose motor connector plug on your list of things to check.

turns out it was the brushes ( £14 ) better than £400 for a new washer.
