Problem,main oven lamp blew,followed instructions ie switched power off removed glass cover, replaced bulb with like for like Phillips 240v P45 E14 SES 1000h rated 300 deg's.Switched power back on, no light ,all other functions working fine.Switched power off checked bulb filiment still intact.Switched power back on & oven switch still no light.Any idea's ??? .

Possibly damaged or bent connectors in the fitting that are not making contact, do you have a multimeter and are you confident with using it to test for 240 v in the fitting.

Possible that the lamp blew to a fault elsewhere though, not too uncommon for lamp fittings to corrode over time and cause problems with wires coming adrift or contacts breaking.
 
Thanks for that,problem solved.Reset cooker clock and "low and behold",the light worked.Magic eh ! Perhaps this will stop someone else tearing their hair out.
