My wife just did a wash and as the machine started its spin cycle it was a lot louder than usual.
We stopped it and saw wisps of smoke escaping through the powder drawer and when we opened the door she found 2 pieces of rubber about 1cm wide and 30 or 40 cms long, plus a lot of smoke which continued to appear for a good 3 or 4 minutes.
If I turn the drum by hand it moves around OK except for one point where it does feel a litte stiff as if rubbing against something.
I think the rubber strips are part of the door seal but what would cause the smoke - motor bearings maybe ?
Regards
