Cable to sounder outside house

Hi

Just a general question.

If there is no easy way of getting a cable to an intruder alarm external sounder from the inside of the house is it viable to run it up the outside of the house.

Does this present any issues in terms of the secureness of the system, I have been told that if the cable was cut the alarm would go off

Not best thing to do as the cable will degrade in time! What type of house is it? Does it have a cavity walls ?

Its semi detached, brick with no cavity

18" masonry drill, 6" below the eves drill, at an angle into the loft, use a straightened coat hanger from outside into loft, join on cable and pull it out, done.
