After queueing at my local bank, the chunky female cashier greeted me with 'sorry about the weight'. I told her she wasn't that big and not to worry about it.

How was I supposed to know she actually meant 'wait'.

One thing that grates is people who insist on the Americanism of ending sentences with 'also'. This can be quite annoying, also.

I am not fond of the way people who 'uptalk' - I think that's the term anyway. The way their voices go up at the end of a sentence so it ends up sounding like a question. Ughhhh.
