cannon oakly gas cut off

Hi all new to this site but reading the answers and you all seem to know what ya talkin about..
So wondered if anyone could help me out with my cooker, my cooker has the glass lid that cuts off the gas when its put down...
Only now the gas comes through the rings when the lids is down but not when its up? We have to have it slighty tilted forward for work the gas rings..
Everything else is fine just this seems to work back to frount now.
Just wondered if there is an easy fix before i get someone in?

Check the micro switch on the rear of the lid it's mounted on a bracket and comes loose.

Thanks for that, saw how the spring worked on the back that works gas supply.
The spring had come loose so tighten that up and it works ok now, atleast when the lid is closed the gas cuts off and when you got teenage kids forgetting to turn it of and puttin lid down always a good idea..
The lid lets gas through when its fully open now too
So thanks again for your advice
