Hi, am after some advice Please!
I recently had a multifuel cassette stove 5kw fitted in my lounge with standard plaster. The plaster has now started to flake and crack approx 4mm max in places around the top and sides. The plaster was washed coated and allowed to dry out for several months before the fire was lit.
Q: Do i leave this until all the loose plaster continues to crack so i can treat affected areas? If so should i remove a bit more of the plaster before filling round to ensure this doesn’t happen again?
Q: As this is presently a very small area to fill would a Fire Cement such as the one from Screwfix be a good idea?
Many Thanks in advance
Ozzy
