Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to use chalk paint on the surround of my gas fireplace..

In the picture I am wanting to paint the black parts on the 'surround' not actually the inside of the fireplace. Perhaps 'surround' is not the best word to use but basically everything including the grill at the bottom...

Would this be ok or am I going to have to get a heat resistant paint?

Thanks in advance. Des

You would be better with a heat resistant matt black aerosol. Don't cost a lot and would be more durable.
