Are you able to measure the output from the PIR as it switches on and off?

i've got a multimeter, but not sure how to measure the PIR. I'm not a sparky, thats why I came on here for help. I'm actually a mechanic.

Multimeter set to a range that will cope with at least 253V AC.

Measure voltage across output wires from PIR.

Should change from 0V* to between 216V and 253V when the PIR switches on.

*There may be a slight leakage instead of true 0V.
