Cheap dialer option ?

I was thinking about getting a speech dialer for my Galaxy alarm.
I came across this one and intend to disable the PIR and trigger it from one of my RIO outputs ( via a relay if needed). I intend to do away with the battery and feed it via a voltage regulator from the alarm Supply.

Any thoughts?

doubt it will work, i have no idea how much a speech dialer costs but would not buying one be cheaper?

also which galaxy have you got, as some of them can send txt messages

Why bodge that together when you can get a "proper" speech dialer for just a couple of pounds more?

While such a bodge is likely possible it may well be a pain to find where to inject your trigger signal. Also when you add on the cost of the relay, the enclosuse for the relay and the power supply it will probablly work out more exepensive than just buying a proper alarm dialler.

Pyronix do a Vocaliser that has 4 alarm inputs and dials 4 phone numbers, you can also dial into it using mics supplied, It retails for around £130
