ADT Galaxy ....Add External Dialer

Hi I have a Galaxy 2-20 and want to add an external dialler unit. I have the dialer working, if I short the 2 contacts on the Dialer, it phones my mobile etc. The problem is I can't seem to get it to Trigger from the Alarm Board. The Alarm Board has a Trigger Output and a Trigger Header. I thought by adding a Relay to the Trigger Output, I could get it to short these contacts for me and set the Dialer Going, but it doesn't work. I am not sure If I can wire it to the header or not, these outputs all seem to be a 12 volts currently when the alarm isn't triggered. If anyone could give me some advice on how to get it going that would be great.

What's the rating of your relay / relay board ?

Take a feed from your siren output.

Thanks for the reply. I have it working now. Took the. 12 v. From the header for 1 side of relay and output 3 on the header (intruder) for the other side. When alarm sounds, this drops to zero energizing the relay.Do you think this is OK? Relay takes 15 mA
