Hi

This is my first post on the forum although I've been an avid reader and picked up lots of tips!!

I have recently moved into a house and I'm just about to sort out the kitchen which has a very greasy ceiling. Can anyone recommend a method for cleaning/preparing and then painting my ceiling??

no, but buy yourself a powerful extractor hood and have it ducted through the wall.

Invest in a tub of Sugar soap,or a bottle of the concetrated type, you can get it from any DIY store, or hardware shop, get the granuals type, it lasts longer.
It will cut through grease, nicotene,or ground in dirt, its fantastic stuff. :D

hi, if you don't go with Johns answer and install an effective fan then you will get in a state again  so with that in mind I would go for the diamond matt so that you can wash it down repeatedly
