Clicking from vokera 24 maxin?

I went to a boiler problem today which has left me confused. The client complained of a intermittent clicking noise from boiler. What I noticed was when I touched the flip down control front the clicking would get worse almost to the point were I would just touch the panel and it would click. When a click happens the gas flame modulates?

Any ideas?

Is there a way to test the board?
