Clicking Motorised Heating Valve

I had been hearing a loud clicking noise from a motorised central heating valve, as per the following clip:

I've now moved the lever on the valve to the position shown in the attached photo (the opposite of where it was) and the clicking has stopped. I can see that the lever's current position is the opposite of the position that the levers on my other heating valves are in. Is there anything wrong or am I OK to leave the lever on the formerly clicking valve in its current position? Thanks

Sounds like the synchron motor is jumping or has lost a tooth on the cog
 
Cheers. Does that mean it needs to be replaced?
 
no you can just change the motor, remove the cover and watch it when it is clicking and you will see if it is jumping, the cover is only 1 small screw and the cover slides out
