hello,
imjust wondering if you comeacross a boiler for a landlords check and cant do a co test ie boiler hasnt got test point, flue outlet not accessiable ie height or neigbouring property. i simply write unable to test co test recommend co alarm??? ta

The CO/CO2 ratio is optional on the Certificate,on many boilers the CO level can't be checked for the reasons you outline, however, the effectiveness of the flue i.e. spillage & pull, MUST be checked, as must the Ventillation be checked for route, sizing and blockage, if these tests are sucessful then any CO will be discharged safely up the Chimney.

Good point about the CO Alarms though we are writing to all Landlords to advice them to supply and maintain CO Alarms at all rented properties ;)
