Cold Dorma

Our dorma is new, but it's so cold in there. The stairway is also so cold. There is a horrible draft through the sides of the window on the stairway. The Walls feel cold, but the builders insulated the Walls. The building inspector passed the work, so surely he must have been satisfied with the type if insulation used.

I don't know what to do, I know regret converting our loft to a dorma. Is there anything that I could do?

Building Control Approval is not a guarantee of workmanship, because it was passed does not mean it was done well, dormers are not cold if they are done right! Can you get access behind any of the voids etc?
