I've just about had enough of my Sime Super 90 combi. It now looks like the diverter valve has packed up, and I've got leaks below the pump and with the pressure release valve.

Would anyone like to recommend a replacement if I decide to go that way?

Cheers,

Alan.

I think I need something like 11 litres/min. on the hot water, serving just a shower or hot taps - not both at once. I've got a total of 6 radiators, only two of them bigger doubles. I think all this means I need about a 28kW boiler? I've been looking at Vaillant, Vokera and Bosch Worcester.

Any makes I should avoid? Any particularly good manufacturers?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Alan.

Go for a Worcester or Baxi, Jaguar by Plumb centre is another good one.. Avoid, Ideal... Ravenheat, and Saunier.. Good hunting.

The current Ideal Mini's seem to be pretty reasonable. Available cheap from B&Q warehouses with their real name - Biasi. There's a 32kW model which will give you more HW.
But I'd go for a Vaillant 828.
