My BCO has told me I can install a new circuit and he sign me off as competent if I complete the above forms - he suggested asking local electrical contractors if they had some but not having much luck that route - anyone know where I could either download some or get hold of some?

Many Thanks

Download them from the IET site or photocopy them from your copy of BS7671.

You can download all of the forms here http://www.theiet.org/publishing/wiring-regulations/forms/

Sorry for asking this, but are you competent to sign off this installation? It's not simply a matter of filling in a form - you have to perform a specific sequence of tests using a meter that has a valid calibration certificate and so on. You also may need to prove competence if asked.

It's a valid question :)

I'm competent to design and install it, not to test it, but as the saying goes I know a man who can. The forms have been requested as part of the proof of competence and will be checked, though it really is rudimentary stuff I'm doing (e.g. a new ring of 14 sockets in back to the box).

Thanks for the links!
