About to buy the wood for my new fence from Rembrand Timer (seem to be the cheapest around here).

The only problem is there posts are not pointed, does this matter??

Thanks in advance

Are you referring to the end that goes into the ground or the end that will be exposed to the elements? If its the latter, personally I prefer to cap them or bevel the end so that they shed water and last a little longer.

It'll matter if you're going to be putting them in with a mallet. If you're going to dig holes and cement them in, it won't matter.
