Door handle height?

Thought I would ask the pros on here! I have just installed 6 nr new 4 panel doors and im trying to decide what height to put the handle? Should it be in the middle of the cross bar (which is much lower than the original flush doors) or the same height as existing which is about 200mm up from the cross bar?

Silly question but it seems low being at the same height as the cross but looks better. I have lever handles with round bases btw.

Midway up the door (imperial) or at 1m from the floor.

Where the lock block is, if hollow door.

If solid, not where the mid rail meets the stile, or you will weaken the joint

But with replacement doors, would you not want the latch to align with the existing keep (if possible)?
