Im having my meter replaced in a few weeks and would like to get the person to wire in an isolator while they are there so i can later replace the CU, can someone point me at a suitable product so i can have it ready for when they arrive?

Is it possible for a competent DIYer to install an isolator, get the board to stick their tails from the meter in it and for the dIYer to put his tails into the isolator enclosure and get the supplier to re energize? Is a certificate necessary for this?

I'm asking cause in my case:

a) the supplier won't put isolator (can't get past call centre bimbo who does not know that an isolator is

b) can't get a spark out to install isolator and wire CU tails into it
