electic fire conduit advice

Currently have an electric fire mounted on the wall with the cable running down some conduit inside the wall and plastered over. It the comes out the bottom cleverly hidden, runs around corner and plugs into socket.

We are thinking about wall papering the room and to do this the fire will have to come off and therefore the cable to will have to come out of the wall.

So if I wallpaper how would I hide the cable once the fire is back on the wall?

You should take this opportunity - before you redecorate - to get it wired properly to a Fused Connector Unit near the fire. It would look and be a lot better.
