I am replacing a single gas oven with a single electric oven. Can I connect the single oven without hobs to an existing kitchen socket or do I need a new circuit

What do the maker's instructions say? Usually a single oven can plug into a 13A socket, but you need to be sure about oven size (amperage) and what else might be on the circuit you're planning to plug into.

That would depend on the load of this oven BS7671 would recommend if the load was in excess of 2kW then it should be hardwired/permanently connected and not plugged in.
