Just installed a 9.5kw electric shower and used existing wiring from 8.5kw, the shower tripped intially but seems to be working okay now.
I check the amp 45 and it is correct, Im not sure if the wiring was 10mm2, and there is a RCB under the staircase Im assuming its okay.
Im a bit concerned over the tripping should I be?

Part P, notifiable!!!
Did you test the circuit for R1+R2 and insulation resistance before energising it?

I check the amp 45 and it is correct,

And how do you know this?

Im not sure if the wiring was 10mm2,

Do you understand why you need 10mm²?

and there is a RCB under the staircase Im assuming its okay.
And you base this diagnosis on what?

Im a bit concerned over the tripping should I be?

You are right to be concerned, Get it checked by someone who can verify that this is safe!!!
Bathrooms are designated 'Special Locations' for very good reasons.

Thanks for getting back to me I will have someone come over tonight and check out what you pointed out.
