Very quick question,
I have just had to move an electric socket by three inches after widening my fireplace with plasterboard. The socket has an existing spur from it and when I moved the socket the cables were only just long enough to be able to reconnect the socket. I cant move the cable any more than they i have already without removing my firplace extension.
What I was wondering was can I get some of those crimp on electrical connectors attach them to the bare wires (which have been twisted around on another) and put the other end into the face plate connectors and tighten the screws?
I would think this would give a more secure fit. Would there be any problem in doing this?
Thanks
