exchange electric hob for ceramic hob poss ?

Hi, greetings, i was just wonderin if i could take the hot plate hob off the tricity bendix and just replace with a ceramic hob, i have replaced like for like b4 but do i look out for any specific ratings wattages etc or is it just a heap o **** project destined to kill me my family and blow the street up; ??
Only they are expensive to replace and it takes 3 weeks to heat up.

Hobs are hobs - ceramic ones don't, per se, use any more power than the old iron ones.

But It sounds as if you want to remove the hob part of a freestanding cooker and replace it with a different one?
