This is definitely not on the diy 'to-do' job list!

I would even go so far as to say it is specialist considering that a majority of insulated panels end up being rendered.

What is the current external finish and what is your intended finish?

Smooth render, aggregate dash finish, stucco, plastic/timber shiplap cladding, colour render, brick, ashlar etc.......?

My internal finish is all smooth plaster I do not want to go down the internal insulation route. External is dash.

Depends how you do it. The finishing is the only potentially specialist part. Trouble is, it may be most of the job.
DIYer could easily bang up celotex and cladding. Some types of render are specialist "systems" but you dont have to use these.
Brick slip cladding needs special fixing mesh.

It's not quite as simple as that.

Corners? Reveals? Eaves? Window cills? Interstitial Condensation?

I suppose if it all came in a big kit, like from Ikea with some pictograms, then possibly. Otherwise you would need to know what to do , and why
