Having trouble with a Ferolli 701

Symptoms

1. burner will only fire up when blowing into the Air pressure switch, and the flame becomes quite yellow. (I have read elsewhere that it should be activated by sucking rather than blowing, can anyone confirm this?)

2. there's occasional buzzing coming from one of the realys (it's difficult to tell which one). Does this mean that the PCB is on its way out or could it be caused by a sensor problem?

3. I'm thinking that the fan isn't running at high speed at all. When I remove JP4 ("high speed only/off") the fan stops completely.

Any thoughts of what might be stopping the fan from kicking in to high speed?

I'm thinking that if it's a simple replacement of board, fan or APS I could get it all sorted before christmas, but if it's going to mean all three then I'd probably be better off replacing the boiler completely but would have to wait until new year.... and it's getting cold! *brrrrr* :)

Any advice to get me through to the new year would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

thanks for the prompt reply...

it fails on both.

Also forgot to mention that all the diagnostic lights are working as they should.

The boiler has been playing up for some time now but I've always managed to get it up and running by blowing through the rubber hose into the Air Pressure Switch then pinch the hose to keep the pressure on. Now I notice that when it is up and running (temporarily) the exhaust chimney seems to "trickle" rather than bellow as it once did.

Best advice is to get a RGI, may be more serious than APS and def sounds like a flue/fan/air supply problem.
