I turned our boiler off for a few days, when I turned it back on it fired up as normal but kept on going until it over heated and then the orange light come on and the boiler cut out. Bare in mind it was working perfecd until it was shut down. Hope you can help, Thanks

How long did it run for......can you check the water circulating pump is running?

Has the pressure dropped leaving no head for the pump tocirculate.
Repressurise and reset the limit thermostat. Make sure the air vent is bleeding the boiler.

Depending on the model of boiler, it will be under a black screw cap on the control panel or next to the temperature dial if a dual thermostat is fitted. Don't forget to bleed the pumps through yhe silver screws in each head.
