Hi, I have been running a solid fuel/gas fired system via a Dunsley neutraliser for a few years. My gas boiler is now on borrowed time so I am thinking of replacing it. My old gas boiler is pumped on the return so it pulls the water from the neutralising vessel. I have noticed that modern condensing boilers require to be pumped on the flow side.

Does this mean the new boilers are not suitable for my system ?

Thank you,

No they don't.

Some may prefer it on the flow, but nearly every system boiler has the flow on the return, largely I suspect because the lower water temperature is better for the pump life and also by default they will be pumping up rather than down.
