Is there a way to tell the maker of a flue system?

I have a hardly used twin wall sectional stainless steel system, jointed with locking bands that is 10" diameter that was used for an open fire place.

Some people I have spoken to are asking if it's a gas flue when I have spoken to them on the phone. It was fitted for an open fire by the previous owner of the house. But due to the house being air tight it did not draw unless the windows was open. (New fire has an external air feed)

Is there a way to tell if it's a mixed fuel or gas only ?

Generally not - it's normally written on a paper sticker, and often on the inside of the flue. This means that it will have burned off. Your notice plate, if you have one, might say but that relies on you trusting the information written on it
