Hi I'm looking at getting a new gas cooker to replace my old one. The old one is connected to the wall using a bayonet hose. The one I'm looking at getting (2nd hand) has got a micropoint hose.
Are there adaptors to connect these two (micropoint hose into a bayonet socket)? Or is my fitter going to have to change the socket on the wall? I had a quick look in the screwfix catalogue and it said the screw end of the bayonet hose was 1/2" whereas the micropoint hose was 3/8", does this mean that cookers are either micropoint OR bayonet, and not interchangeable.
I know this is really basic stuff but I want to minimise the fitting costs, so if the wall mounted gas socket doesn't need to be changed then all the better.
Thanks
Tim
