Hi Guys,
have recently turned the gas on in a property that has been empty for over a year. Read the meter but when I went back to it some 30 odd minutes later, the meter had moved.
It's a metric meter, the dial that moves looks like it counts 1000th's ?? Over the 30 minute period it moved 2 whole units ie. from 1 to 3.
Is this a problem ?? Are there acceptable limits ??
I cannot find any evidence of a leak, no smell and when using leak detection spray on the pipe joints, no bubbles. There is however a very slight 'pong' from the inlet side main tap.
Meter is in the garage and has a 22mm connection running under the ground into the kitchen.
Thoughts ??
Many thanks in advance.
