it can be made more secure if the correct fittings are used FOR your existing bracket.
if i remember correctly, that regulator inlet arrangement you have comes ready made to fit the new meter brackets and you have an older bracket so it dont fit in a secure way.
to be honest your meter is in a box and not so vulnerable to knocks.
i was told that this is the only regulator arrangement they are issued with,they would not budge from their statement.the rest is a legal battle which i cannot discuss.
but my own contractor was able to get all the necessary fittings from www.bes.co.uk
