I recently had a bottle of engine coolant in the boot of my car which leaked it's entire contents...

Now the car smells damp and not unlike rotten fruit!

I've already shampooed the seats and carpet in the boot with a spray on cleaner and have two air-freshners...

Does anyone have any handy hints or suggestions for getting rid of stubborn smells in a car?

take out the carpet/lining from the boot

rinse it in the bath or with a hose and hang up to dry

then you can sponge out the inside of the boot. It will probably have run into various crevices that you can't get at. If you have a wet-and-dry vacuum I suppose upu could wash it out with clean water and suck it dry and remove any drain plugs.
