Grout problem?

I am in the process of having a new bathroom installed. I decided to get this done professionally as I don't have any tiling experience.

They have put all the tiles up and have now started grouting, when I looked last night the grout seemed really lumpy and rough looking. They haven't finished the job yet so I'm reluctant to pull them up for this in case this is normal at this stage. Should I wait 'till they're finished or is now the time to draw this to their attention?

No it shouldn't be lumpy, the appearance won't change as the grout sets. It sounds like they haven't mixed it properly. Bring it to their attention and don't be fobbed off.

grout should be applied and finished at the same time.
