diverter valve diaphragm has been replaced twice over 5years.Now have similarsymptoms though not all time ie, sometimes just tyrickle of hot water on furthest away tap, but most of time ok .Does this mean diaphragm gradually failing?Last 2 times I thought it failed suddenly & permanently,ie no hot water full stop. Please help

NO. Split diaphragm or even jammed diverter wouldn't affect volume of water at tap, only temperature.

If flow at some hot taps is OK then fault is not in boiler. Presure low? tap faulty?

thanks ChrisR but can assure you last two times they split, it did affect volume of water ie, none. This problem is annoying, not least cos I m no expert & fancy changing diaphragm myself ( I m just DIY er) , but also this time the problem is intermitant.
Must admit didnt try another tap elsewhere when prob occurs, so will do that next. Keep warm & stop molesting those seals.
