Hard water area - scale problem

I was commenting on your posts within the forum,

I'm not leaping to the defence of advertising in the forum. However, it is certainly the case that few maintainers properly understand CPSUs and especially Powermaxes.

My own adjective to describe your responses on this thread is 'curmudgeonly'. Give the guy a break! We all have to make a living, even Softus, presumably.

I have to take your word on that, and I'm very happy to.

Well, that's not unreasonable. And yes - I do have to make a living as well.

However, I have strong feelings about the act of advertising within the forum topics, so I reserve the right to air those feelings, especially when it happens to be against the rules too!

if some one was to phone me from scotland and ask for some advice i would be more than happy to give and have given, people who use this are normally at the end of their tether with engineers who don't know what they are doing so i give our details so such a person can call or email for help.
yes we do all have to make a living and this is a very small part of what we offer :D

Whatever. You're still doing it (in your signature).

Are you claiming that you're more 'happy' to give free help than the people on the forum who don't advertise their services at the same time?

i will try to help anyone who asks. p.s. get a life and deal with the real issues, not things YOU want to make an issue. :D .
on that i hope your pointless posts will stop.

Fine. Why not just stick to the forum rules and remove the blatent advertising from your signature?

p.s. get a life and deal with the real issues, not things YOU want to make an issue.
Forums, including this one, are all about posts in which individuals want to raise issues. You're not the first to suggest that I shouldn't post things that they don't like, but it doesn't stop me posting and it doesn't stop the fact that what I post is the truth. If you can't handle the truth then stop reading it - go and read "The Sun" or something.

our blatant advertising " as you put it" allows anybody to contact us so we can better advise on their problem so if it bothers you, were soooo sorry we just want to help :D

Other members deal with that by allowing people to contact them via Email. From that you can exchange phone numbers and shoe sizes, if you wish, but discreetly and within the rules instead of in everyone's face.

so if it bothers you, were soooo sorry we just want to help :D
Try that apology again, but make it sound sincere next time.

Oh, and you still haven't removed the blatent advertising from your signature, so I wonder exactly how sorry you really are.

we wont and will not be removing the suggestion that if someone would like to contact us for more help they can :D

Yeah right - by all means try and fool yourself that your motive for breaking the rules is to help people, but you're not fooling anyone else.

For example, your first ever post:

im a powermax specialist and your boiler does not need replacing it can be fixed for under £300 guranteedthe banging is called kettling and you need a "pump conversion kit" fitted. email me at [email protected]

we have helped several people over the phone two of which were in scotland.............so please tell all how we benefitted from these!!!!!!!
and once again were sorry you feel people shouldn't be able to contact us for help. :D

So be it. How many have paid you money contacted you as a result of your advertising?

and once again were sorry you feel people shouldn't be able to contact us for help. :D
Really? Is that what you think I was saying when I wrote the following?

You thought I'd suggested that other member don't contact you?

If so, then you're a bigger fool than I thought.

we have had 3 or 4 paying customers from this site.
we do not always have the time to check the site and add new, so doing it this way, people do not have to trawl through the posts to get help or advice as our telephone number is in the find an expert, and po12 postcode. :D :D :D :D

Pardon me, but who the hell do you think you are? Have you been made Moderator of the forum now have you, Who cares what you do like & don`t like within a post ,be it advertising or otherwise? If the Mods think it is unacceptable it will be removed.
As far as I am aware you are neither Plumber, Gas engineer nor installer.
People can post what they like Mr D.I.Y. Get over yourself. This is meant for Softus as if we all don`t know.
