HELP ARISTON A1237 FILTER

My washing machine won't drain water. I can only think it is the filter.
Have tried to remove it but only turns anticlockwise for about 45 degrees and then stops, cannot unscrew it any further or removed the filter. Mole grips have been used to get a better purchase but this has only achieved snapping the handgrip. Any suggestions please?

you will have to remove the sump hose from the back of the filter, tip the machine back against something solid and look underneath you will see a black hose coming from the bottom of the drum to the pump/filter housing.

You probably have something caught part in the hose and part in the filter preventing it from moving properly.
