Can someone please give me some advice on how to replace this 1970's toilet, and what is the best design of toilet that will be compatible with this particular set up
thank you for letting me know, I had no idea
I'm not sure how to post photo's on this site, any recommendations anyone ?
Basically the toilet soil pipe emerges up through the concrete bathroom floor 9 inches from the wall the cystern is on. The toilet itself is cemented into the soil pipe. I have no idea if the soil pipe is cast iron, plastic,
I am right in thinking that this set up is totally incompatible with a close coupled toilet?
thanks for your help
if you fit a c.c. toilet to that waste using a standard 90deg. pan connector, then the cistern will sit off the wall by 2-3 inches. a swan neck pan connector will get you closer to the wall but you may have to build a small panel for the toilet to sit against.
Which fitting will get a cc toilet the closest to the wall a)110mm push-fit integral sealing diaphragm allows up to 5º misalignment in any direction. b) swan neck
A plumber recommended digging up the floor and moving where the waste connects, so that the toilet can go back as far as possible. Is this a valid alternative?
thanks
