I'd really appreciate any pointers to fixing the following washing machine problem...

I have a Zanussi Jetsystem 1200 (FJS1225W) which is giving me a lot of E10 error stoppages which, I understand, indicate water inlet problems.

I have checked the filters on cold water inlet pipe and there is no problems there, the pressure is getting through to the inlet valve (solenoids). However, as the washer fills I can see that water is only entering the soap tray above the pre-wash compartment, nothing is coming into the main soap compartment.

Now, I'm thinking, could this be a blockage inside the water distribution head above the soap tray so that water is being restricted only to the pre-wash compartment (thereby delaying the filling cycle).

Or could this be the water inlet solenoid becoming faulty? Or maybe something else completely. The Zanussi has a twin inlet solenoid so I guess the other one (left hand pipe, top solenoid looking down the top) is for the conditioner compartment?

Thanks so much....

Likely to be one of the water inlet valves failed.

If you have access to a multi meter check the resisitance of the coil on the valve. if it is open circuit then thats the fault

All 3 pipes from the solenoid are able to supply water (sat and watched all 3 think paint is faster), the interface when pressing buttons no longer beeps and the timings on the wash seem to be out could it be the main pcb or is it just the water valve solenoid? seems strange no beeps except with error E10 or is this just a zanussi protocal.

Flash74, Hi

In my case it was one of the the inlet solenoids that had gone. Some water was getting through but took ages hence the E10 errors. I bought a new solenoid unit on espares, I think, and it was a pretty easy job to replace.

Good luck!
