Honeywell Galaxy 2-44 ADT alarm

I have the Honeywell Galaxy 2-44 ADT alarm system in house I bought, under no contract with ADT. Firstly what door sensors are they as one appears to be broken on mine and giving tamper fault.
The other question, the two remaining errors are the number to dial and ARC comms fail, I am assuming it is looking for an ADT communication, can this be turned off without an engineer code so I can use alarm without contract? According to ADT they won't let me use it self monitored?

Ok think i found the contact sensor DO8M, Wireless Magnetic Door/Window Contact, had no battery so replaced,
